Counselling

Craig has a private counselling and coaching practice based in Sydney. His primary training was a post graduate diploma of counselling at ACAP in Sydney. He is also trained as a Senior Supervising teacher of The Hoffman Process which he teaches in Australia and internationally. He has practices in Bondi Junction in the Eastern Suburbs and Avalon on the Northern Beaches. For busy, interstate or overseas clients he also does Skype sessions.

Individual Counselling: Craig works in a style that is warm and humanistic but also direct and incisive. With many years of experience in working with people he is able to quickly identify the core beliefs and patterns of behaviour that are holding back the individual or couple from living to their potential and help them move beyond that. He works with many modalities stretching from Psychodynamic therapy to mindfulness.

Relationship Counselling: Craig specialises in working with couples. He skilfully helps partners unpack and understand their core conflicts and impasses and come to a more connected and compassionate place with each other. He recognises that fulfilling relationships are complex with a balance needed between individual needs and the needs of the couple. To be fully satisfied a healthy relationship should embrace both and so the balance of giving and taking is also important. He works with the two underlying core relationship fears; the fear of losing the other and the fear of losing one’s individual self when deeply committing to the relationship. He helps the couple understand that many conflicts arise from this axis and works to bring more compassion to the partners different feelings, needs and fears. Craig gives couples tools and exercises to work with help anchor the insights from the sessions.

Coaching: Craig coaches people from the business sector to help maximise their work potential and fulfilment.
He skilfully helps leaders identify the key patterns of behaviours that limit their effectiveness and together with the client helps them create practical pathways for change. With research showing conflicts in the workplace are one of the greatest drains on individual’s resilience he helps people with issues of communication and healthy management of conflict. He helps build a client’s self awareness, confidence and authenticity which in turn helps them build and participate in stronger and happier teams
